The Sailor's Friend

As you have discovered in other parts of this website my travelling, sailing and love of coastlines and the sea, keeps me close to shores and their many lighthouses.

Moreover, my sailing, particularly when I was offshore racing, meant that I was frequently searching horizons for lights to navigate with.

All of this has left me with a passion to photograph these essential structures around the world, from large strategic monoliths to small tactical but necessary local lights.

As you can see from the gallery they come in all shapes and sizes.
